I normally wear a 10.5 in gym shoes, but these are a little big on me, and I probably should have gone with a 10. I also have smaller ankles, and they are loose around my ankles. The brown Suede is backed by a blue paisley type pattern canvas lining, and they do have a possibly real leather, rough out counter cover to prevent the heels from wearing through the canvas. does have a toe stiffener and is leather backed around the collar and eyelets. the outsole does have slight wear at the heels. Comes with a lightly glued but removable if wanted, foam insert with lasting board underneath. I\'m not sure what the exact construction of these are. I don\'t see a strobel or Blake stitch, so they may just be cemented, but I wasn\'t able to tell for sure about that. They are a decent looking chukka, but like I said, a little too big for me, especially in the ankle, and I am a 10 on the brannock.
