As it\'s 100% wool (patons brand classic worsted weight) one can expect all the benefits of use in a sauna including prolonging time one can enjoy in a sauna. All hats I hand-knit myself. One can expect all the novelty and charm that can be found in hand-crafted pieces in my hats. This hat would fit a child size head nicely. It has little to no stretch to it. It\'s roughly 7.5\" measured across or around 22\" in circumference—note that it\'s a very tight fit for this size of head and will only cover the very top of a head this size. The mannequin head shown in the photos is 24 inches to give perspective.
